Visit to Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ghaziabad

SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University organized Visit to  “Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India” situated at Gaziabad, U.P for M Pharm, and B. Pharm  students on 16th February, 2023.

  • The visitwas planned with objective to familiarize the students with Indian Pharmacopoeial Commission of India and foster innovation and research activities.
  • To expose students with Indian Pharmacopoeial Commission of India and its various functional departments that are engaged in setting and regulating quality standards of drugs, medical devices in the country

SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University organized one day visit to the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad, an autonomous institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, under the leadership of the Prof. Vijay Bhalla, Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy, accompanied by faculty coordinators, Dr. Neelkant and Dr. Poonam Arora.

The visit aimed to make the students familiarize with the multiple functions of IPC including setting standards of drugs and medical devices in the country. Students were exposed to latest modern analytical equipments, and various departments of IPC. The participants were 35 in number which included M. Pharm and B. Pharm students. An introductory session about different departments of IPC and their functions were given to the participants.
