SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University organized Expert Talk on “Process of Innovation, Development, Technology Readiness level (TRL), Commercialization of lab Technologies, & Tech Transfer for M Pharm, B. Pharm and Pharm D students on 7th February, 2023.
The expert talk was planned with the objective to create awareness among students, innovative technologies, different readiness level and technology transfer from laboratory to industry. The eminent speaker in event was Ms. Suman Gupta, Chief Operations Officer, BioNEST Bio- Incubator, Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad, Haryana.
Ms. Suman was warmly welcomed by the students and honored with momento and sapling. Prof(Dr)Rakesh Sharma (Pro Chancellor), Prof (Dr) Meenakshi Munshi (Dean, Director of Research) grace the event with their presence. Event started with a welcome note by Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla where he gave highlights about the topic.
In her address, Ms. Suman explained about the various process of innovation, Indian start up ecosystem, different stages of technology development and Technology Readiness levels with appropriate examples. She elaborated how the technology transfer from innovator to industry takes place. Further, she emphasized different funding schemes such as E-YUVA, SITARE, that are offered by Indian Govt to young students and faculty for establishment of startups. In her lecture, she also explained the tips for creating a successful entrepreneurship. Examples of innovations with real life examples was highly appreciated by the students.
