Seminar cum awareness drive on Tuberculosis (TB): THE WALKING TIME BOMB “ was organised by SGT College of Pharmacy on 10 February 2023 in TV studio B Block, SGT University under “Association for safe medication” and “Pharma innovation and incubation”. The event was convened by Prof (Dr) Vijay Bhalla Dean SGTCOP and coordinated by advisors Prof(Dr)Sushma Chaturvedi , Dr Vaibhav Walia, Dr Ritu Mishra, Dr Shweta Mishra and co-advisors Dr Farah Deeba, Ms. Sonika Shrivastava. Dr. Atul Nasa, Pro Vice Chancellor enlightened the audience with regulatory affairs of Anti TB drugs.
The aim of the event was to create awareness among students about tuberculosis, diagnosis, prevention and treatment in high burdened countries. The event included three programs mainly a guest lecture by distinguished speaker Dr. Khalid Umer Khayyam, HOD Epidemiology and, Public Health District, TB Officer, National Institute of TB & Respiratory Diseases, New Delhi .This was followed by NukkadNatak by students of SGTCOP, and sensitization and awareness drive in front of SGT Hospital, SGT University, Gurugram. Dr. Khalid Umer Khayyam provided an insight about the government policies for the elimination of TB by 2025.
