HANDS-ON TRAINING ON SIMULATION BASED PHARMACY PRACTICE SKILLS

To mark the celebration of National Pharmacy Week 2021, with the theme, “Pharmacist: An Integral Part Of Healthcare”, Department of Pharmacy Practice, SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University, in collaboration with NRSC organised a unique two-day “HANDS-ON TRAINING ON SIMULATION BASED PHARMACY PRACTICE SKILLS” on 15th and 16th November 2021 at National Reference Simulation Centre, SGT University, Gurgaon.

The practical training is the first ever of its kind in pharmacy education in India; exclusively for Pharm. D. and M.Pharm. students, as well as faculty members to foster their understanding of theoretical knowledge and develop skill based responses to real life health care scenarios via simulation.

The training was conducted on two days and included learning administration techniques of parenteral preparations by various routes, understanding and interpretation of Electrocardiogram and method to provide high quality hands on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.

The program was attended by nearly 50 students and faculty members and was very well appreciated by all. The faculty trainers included Ms. Anu Grover, Ms. Usha Yadav, Dr. Ritu Mishra and Ms. Geeta Rawat. The event was organised by Dr. Sonal Setya, HOD, Pharmacy Practice, SGT College of Pharmacy under the leadership of Dr. Vijay Bhalla, Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy.
