SGT College of Pharmacy organized 56 th National Pharmacy Week on 25 th November, 2017. Shri Narender Ahooja, State drug controller, Food & drug Administration, Haryana was the chief guest for the event. Other guests of honor were Mr.Inder singh Chauhan, executive council member, PCI, President Federation of Indian Pharmacists organizations, Dr Mukesh Garg, senior vice president,R&D at Vyome biosciences pvt ltd,gurgaon & Mr. manmohan taneja, assistant drug controller, Food & drug Administration, Haryana. Dr. Sham lal Singla, pro chancellor, SGT University welcomed all the dignatories. Inauguration of tha first batch of Pharmacy Practice was done by the hands of Shri Narender Ahooja & Mr.Inder singh Chauhan. They signed the sun board for the first Pharmacy Practice course in the north region of India. Mr Inder singh Chauhan told students about the importance of Pharmacy Practice course. He congratulates SGT University on being the first pioneer University to start the Pharmacy Practice course. Dr. Mukesh Garg emphasized on the research, formulation & development. He told students about the generation of a new molecule through research. Mr Manmohan Taneja told students about the stepwise procedure of obtaining licence for a drug store. Mr N.K Ahooja stressed on the importance of the roles of a pharmacist. He told students that they should know themselves and medicines very efficiently. Chief Guest distributed certificates to students who are actively involved in outreach activities of the department.
